I always wanted to illustrate a car. At first, I had a different idea, but as I started working, a camper van emerged on its own. I have a soft spot for these flattened cars with unnaturally tall windscreens, and a regular camper is just boring. I love flames (which are also part of the UnderStuntInk tattoo studio's branding that I created), and they immediately suited this artwork, set against the swirling smoke of burning plywood. Satanists turn the sacred into the profane by wearing T-shirts and hanging posters with burning churches. I did the same within the camper community.
I have nothing against campers, and I think it's a wonderful, romantic adventure. This is about pure riot and subversion (that's my style). It's the end of a nomad's journey, or perhaps its very beginning when they are free, without a vehicle. They're no longer here. They abandoned the object. They took another step. The theme also aligns with the current trend of abandoning campervan travel. Many YouTube videos show how, after years of wandering, people give up this way of life and settle down, ultimately creating a home and treating the camper as an adventure, not a lifelong pursuit.
The ONE version is monochromatic. In fact, like all my posters, this one has various interpretations. One thing is certain - it's strong, bold, yet subtle enough to fit into any interior.
